25 Children taught to blanket stitch

I am so very proud of this project & very proud of the children involved.

My son's grade 2/3 teacher is currently on marriage leave & during this 2 weeks of her absence a few other mums & I have taught them to blanket stitch.

So in roughly 8 hours, 25 non sewers have become very proud blanket stitchers.

This is T showing off his sewing

Once the children had sewn their blocks I took my machine into school & showed them how I would quilt each heart (outline quilting) and joined the blocks together to make a shaggy quilt.

I love it & I know it will make Miss Price cry.
Congratulations 2/3H.

My runners are now UFOs

I never did finish those table runners I was making for the mayoral breakfast. Life got in the way.

Instead of runners I created "Egg Trees" people thought they were cute, but they came back to me so I gave them away for Easter.

BLESSING TREE

RED & GOLD FUNKY WOOL

BLUE FEATHER TREE

THE BROWN TREE
I guess you could say that I completed 4 OPAMs & created 2UFOs.

Oh well.

The 'crazy' ladies I craft with

The wonderful ladies in this photo are the Tuesday night UFO group I go to, not everyone was there but you can see we are a real mixed bag & do quite a variety of crafts.

Hi Ladies. Looking forward to seeing what you all made over Easter (ha ha)
