Miniature Sewing Machines

This post is for my blogging friend Vikki of Sew Useful Designs

Vikki, these are my CASIGE miniature sewing machines.  They vary in size but the largest is about 22cm wide.
These photos were taken while the machines were on display at our Quilt show last year.

It all started with this machine about 6 years ago in Longreach.  A travelling dealer came through town and amongst the array of products was this little beauty.    I had only ever seen singer miniatures before but this one took my eye as I owned a Pinnock that is the same shade of electric blue.
Then after that, I did some research and realised that there are quite a few miniature sewing machine manufacturers and if I didn't choose a path, we would go broke collecting.  So CASIGE became our collection of choice.  (2 reasons, the first was a CASIGE, secondly singer were way too expensive)

The thing that has most fascinated us is the amazing decals on the sides of the machines.
This machine is one of the tiny ones being only about 11cm wide.
 Vibrant poppies adorn this machine
My husband loves the colours in this one.

This little one is my favourite because it has sewing notions on it.  It is about 18cm wide.
These little machines are so cute.  We are always on the look out for more little friends for the collection although I must admit our search has slowed somewhat as they are increasing in price.

Thanks for having a look.
